  4. NOTE: This program is Freeware. This means that I retain copyright of the
  5.       application at all times. However, you may distribute the application
  6.       free of charge so long as:

  8.        a) the application is not changed in any way
  9.        b) you do not sell this program for profit
  10.        c) the application is distributed in its original state
  11.        
  12. Good, got rid of that!

  14.  The idea of !Speakers is to provide an icon on the icon bar that will enable
  15. the internal speakers to be switched on and off with the minimum of fuss in
  16. the desktop.
  17.  Just click on the loudspeaker icon and it will toggle the state of the
  18. speakers. The icon shows whether the speakers are on or off by showing a tick
  19. or a cross in the loudspeaker. That's all there is to it.
  20.  Note that this application really only works in Risc OS 3.00 at the very
  21. least and has been written with a Risc OS 3.10 machine.
  22.  The file Templates3 in the application are the new Acorn 3D style templates.
  23. These can be made the default tenplates by renaming the file as Templates
  24. (after having renamed Templates to something else!).

  26.  For those of you who like to know more about the nitty-gritty, this is a
  27. module application so it will always appear on the desktop once loaded unless
  28. you quit it or perform a reset of some sort. It is also prioritised to be
  29. just to the left of the palette.
  30.  The module will check the status of the speakers as it starts up so that it
  31. will always show the correct icon on the icon bar when it is fired up.

  33. Bugs: None that I can find... yet!

  35. Things to do: Get someone to do something about those horrible icons (any
  36.               takers please?)
  37.               Write some code to intercept any other programs changing the
  38.               state of the speakers so that the icon bar can be updated - not
  39.               as easy as you would think as there appears to be nothing nice
  40.               like a vector (again - any help would be welcome)
